Solveig Nordlund (Stockholm, June 9, 1943) is a Portuguese filmmaker.

Nordlund took a (Bacharel degree) in History of Arts in the University of Stockholm. In 1962, she meets Alberto Seixas Santos and her interest in cinema grows. In 1970, this interest is transformed in a profissional matter, as she becomes assistant in several films: Quem Espera por Sapatos de Defunto Morre Descalço, by João César Monteiro (1969–1970), O Recado, by José Fonseca e Costa (1970–1971), Pedro Só, by Alfredo Tropa (1970–1971), Fragmentos de Um Filme-Esmola, by João César Monteiro (1972). With Brandos Costumes, by Alberto Seixas Santos (1973–1974), her name begins to enter the credits as editor. She worked in the editing of films of many directors, such as Manoel de Oliveira, João Botelho, Alberto Seixas Santos, Thomas Harlan and politic documentaries.
In 1973-1974 she had a scholarship from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, does internships in Paris under the orientation of, among others, Jean Rouch. In 1974, she is in Cinequipa and in 1975 in Cinequanon, where she works in TV series as editor. Founder of the Grupo Zero, Solveig participates in some films which are directed by several filmmakers as A Lei da Terra (1976). In 1978, occurs her debut in fiction films as individual director in Nem Pássaro, Nem Peixe.
Directed in collaboration with the Cornucopia Theater, several films based on theater plays by Franz Xaver Kroetz (Música Para Si, Viagem Para a Felicidade, both in 1978 and Outras Perspectivas in 1980) or Karl Valentin (E Não se Pode Exterminá-lo? - 1979). Her first feature-film was Dina e Django (1983) followed by Até Amanhã, Mário (1994), Comédia Infantil (1998), Aparelho Voador a Baixa Altitude (2002) and A Filha (2003). Directs, as well, shorts and documentaries about writers as Marguerite Duras, J.G. Ballard or António Lobo Antunes. Founded the company Ambar Filmes.
Her theater direction debut happened in 1998 with A Noite é Mãe do Dia, by Lars Norén working for Belém Cultural Center and Teatro da Malaposta, collaborating currently with Artistas Unidos, where directed the play Vai Vir Alguém (Someone Is Going To Come) and Sonho de Outono (Autumn Dream) by Jon Fosse, Traições (Betrayal) and Há Tanto Tempo by Harold Pinter.
